I still remember that moment very well on a beautiful morning in late September. We had the privilege of staying for a few days, in a superb little rustic chalet of a friend, directly on the edge of a small private lake in the woods of Sainte-Adèle.

I got up early, from the first rays of light, to take advantage of the entire stay. Just after putting a few logs back in the hearth of the fireplace, having enjoyed a good hot coffee to the sounds of the crackling of the wood which warmed the sweet freshness of the chalet, I venture outside to catch a few Clicks of the mountains bursting with colorful foliage of ocher, red and yellow.

Approaching slowly near the lake, enveloped in the song of the morning silence, what was my astonishment that I was startled by the sudden unexpected flight of these two ducks who were resting right next to me.

Just enough time to react to lifting my camera by pointing at these two birds fleeing the scene at full speed, like a hunter in front of his game, leaving me no chance to get the ideal focus.

At first, disappointed with the result, but after having carefully observed my Clicks, it gave me the satisfaction of a certain artistic vagueness. To the point of wondering if the representation of this atmosphere was it not more real of the moment lived, between the perfection of a click in the focus or an abstract emotion!

I also decided to present it in panoramic, to amplify the action and the non need to distract the eye towards the mountains in the distance, that the reflection of these on the cold blues of the water, would be sufficient.
